COLLABORATIVE CONSTRUCTS is an exercise in creating a 'brand'. The idea is to work with a variety of people to enter an increasing number of design competitions that are being publicised in Scotland.
The concept was to create a methodology and precedence that facilitated people with a range of skills to work together in a loose or formal design team as each situation required.
As the majority of the competitions are targeted towards students or recent graduates, it was common for the 'design team' to change from one to the next. Different ideas and avenues could then be explored allowing the group to submit under one name or separately. This loose association provided a great working method to test initial ideas, pool resources and discuss feed back.
Collaborative Constructs attempts to crystallise this energy to form a better understanding of how to operate professionally within the creative community.
